Welcome to NexxEd. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of NexxEd's mobile applications, websites, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by NexxEd from Nigeria.
Please read these Terms carefully. They form a legally binding agreement between you and NexxEd.
By creating an account, downloading our app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
NexxEd is intended for current Nigerian undergraduate students. To use the Service, you must:
We may verify eligibility at any time and may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to share your account, transfer it to anyone else, or impersonate another person.
Notify us promptly at support@nexxed.app if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or to other users.
You retain ownership of the posts, comments, messages, images, and other content you submit to NexxEd ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant NexxEd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and otherwise use that content within and in connection with the Service, including for moderation, backup, and the operation, promotion, and improvement of NexxEd.
You are solely responsible for the User Content you post. You represent that you have the rights necessary to share it and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party or violate any law.
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines in full. In summary, and without limitation, you must not:
NexxEd includes AI-powered features, including the NexxAI chat assistant. Outputs from NexxAI and other AI features are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.
You should not rely on AI-generated outputs for medical, legal, financial, safety, or other professional decisions. Always check important information against authoritative sources and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
Stars are virtual items used within NexxEd. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are not transferable outside the Service.
Missions, streaks, and other reward programmes have specific terms communicated in-app. Those terms (including eligibility, caps, and end dates) form part of these Terms when you participate.
We may adjust, expire, suspend, or revoke stars or other rewards where we reasonably believe they were obtained through abuse, fraud, or breach of these Terms.
We may, at our discretion and depending on the seriousness of the breach:
We record the reason for each enforcement action taken on an account. You may appeal an action by emailing support@nexxed.app.
You may close your account at any time. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including User Content licence, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will continue to apply.
NexxEd relies on third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate the Service, including for hosting, storage, analytics, and AI features. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' applicable terms.
The Service may contain links to or references to third-party websites, content, or services that we do not control. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of those third parties.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NexxEd makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any User Content or AI-generated output is accurate, reliable, or suitable for your purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, NexxEd and its directors, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or academic outcomes, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NexxEd and its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your breach of these Terms. NexxEd will likewise act reasonably and in good faith in defending claims arising from its own conduct.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms will be resolved by the competent courts of Nigeria. Before bringing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at support@nexxed.app so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
